Visualize how True-Time™ works.
First Resources has a contract employee whose name is Amanda James. On Monday morning Amanda James arrives at Mega Engineering to begin her workweek. After starting her computer she accesses (via the internet) the True-Time, Keep Time function where she selects the project and task she begins to work on for that morning. The function writes the project information and begin time into a secure database. Later that morning she needs to begin work on a different task. She clicks the Keeptime function and stays with the same project but selects a different task from the task list. By clicking Start, the program will end her time on the previous task and record the begin time for the new task. When her lunch hour begins Amanda opens the Keeptime function and presses STOP! This will stop her time for the project she was working on (no need to select what project it was). When she returns from lunch she can begin time for a new project or the same one she was working on by opening the Keep Time function page and selecting the project to begin time on.
On Tuesday morning, Amanda has to drive straight to the Client's site to attend a project meeting. When she later returns to Mega Engineering she can use the Add Time function to record the time she spent travelling to and from the meeting. She can also also use the True-Time, Expenses function to record an expense for the mileage and parking she accrued in travelling to the Client's site. For the rest of the week she continues to record her time per the procedures mentioned above for the various projects and tasks she works on.
At the end of the week Amanda James can use the Reports function to show all time and expenses accrued for the current work week. When the report is generated she can also use the the True-Time approval process to submit her time for supervisor approval.
